All, Please see the message below that I have just received from Andrew; it seems appropriate to share this with you as it explains his late application. Over the last few weeks my wife and I have been working hard to get a local homeless man permanent housing – which as you can imagine is hard to find here in Washington. We have gone through the government channels, identified a place and he is slated to move in we hope within the week, but its also a stressful time as things get finalized. Spent a good bit of time last night focused on getting him sorted for the night when he showed up on our doorstep at 10PM. Was working on my app then and thought I’d sent it but appears not. Anyway, I know people take deadlines seriously – and I should have not waited until the last day to send – but in this instance I was focused on the thing that I think all would agree was the right priority. Thanks, Marie - under the circumstances it is more than understandable that a minor ICANN formality wasn't his top priority. As I tried to communicate in the chat, my only concern is a pure general principle of being extra strict about proper procedures for people that will be mentoring newcomers, but I am totally OK to accept the application from Andrew.
