Patrick I have the same problem though it's compounded by people not "getting" that my personal view might not be the RrSG view - unless I clearly state that it is Anyway .. o Will do its work via an email list - no teleconferences are planned o Is open to all members of the ICANN community - all AC's and SO's, staff, Board, etc. o Will require that all participants submit or update their GNSO Statement of Interest <https://community.icann.org/pages/viewpage.action?pageId=14713457> before they are subscribed to the list o Will maintain open public email archives - and thus will not discuss private or confidential information o Will be convened by Mikey O'Connor until somebody gets tired of him and offers to take over o To join the mailing list please *RSVP *gnso.secretariat@gnso.icann.org <mailto:gnso.secretariat@gnso.icann.org>

Let me clarify that if any SSAC members are participating in this discussion, they do that 100% on their personal capacity, and they do not speak on behalf of SSAC, or represent SSAC.

If SSAC have, or had a view, that will be clearly stated as such, and if nothing very special happens, the SSAC view will be presented by me.
All of this so that SSAC members that are on this list can express themselves in these discussions freely. I can not, and I do not think ICANN can, risk having individuals with clue stay silent because they are tagged with a special affiliation.
If you want to tag a special SSAC affiliation with anyway, it is me.

Yes, many of us wear multiple hats, or may have cause to clarify exactly who they are speaking on behalf of at the time. I am a vice-chair of the GNSO Council, but I will seldom be speaking on behalf of the Council - I could possibly sometimes be speaking on behalf of the NCSG, or NCUC, if we have a set position - but usually it will be just me. The one topic in which I will be wearing my GNSO Council Vice-chair hat is that i have responsibility for planning GNSO meetings at the Singapore meeting, so I will be listening attentively to any suggestions of SSR topics for the Council agenda.
