Dear all,

As the RZ-LGR is being incrementally developed by the community, the RZ-LGR Study Group (SG) was constituted on the request of the ICANN Board, based on nominations from ccNSO, GNSO and IAB, to study technical considerations for utilizing the RZ-LGR to determine valid top-level domains (TLDs) and their variant labels in a harmonized manner.

RZ-LGR-SG has completed its work and has released the Recommendations for the Technical Utilization of the Root Zone Label Generation Rules for public comment (see below).  There are specific recommendations for the work being done by the Generation Panels.

Please consider reviewing the report and providing feedback on it.

Regards,
Sarmad

About ICANN

ICANN’s mission is to help ensure a stable, secure, and unified global Internet. To reach another person on the Internet, you need to type an address – a name or a number – into your computer or other device. That address must be unique so computers know where to find each other. ICANN helps coordinate and support these unique identifiers across the world. ICANN was formed in 1998 as a not-for-profit public-benefit corporation with a community of participants from all over the world.
