Putting both of the expiration dates in the registry whois does explain why there is a difference between the dates. To me it does not address any confusion related to this issue.
When dealing with Amazon and other big Internet retailers, they let me know when they have shipped my order and the details of how the shipping company is handling my shipment even though I never enter into a contractual relationship with the shipping company. The average domain registrant is not tech savvy and rarely looks at whois and when they do they get confused .. Adding to that confusion is not good customer service Regards Michele -- Mr Michele Neylon Blacknight Solutions Hosting, Colocation & Domains http://www.blacknight.host/ http://blog.blacknight.com/ http://ceo.hosting/ Intl. +353 (0) 59 9183072 Direct Dial: +353 (0)59 9183090 ------------------------------- Blacknight Internet Solutions Ltd, Unit 12A,Barrowside Business Park,Sleaty Road,Graiguecullen,Carlow,Ireland Company No.: 370845
