Second Call for Presentations vTechDay ICANN 69 (Hamburg)
Call for Presentations 2nd vTechDay at ICANN 69 (Hamburg) The ICANN Tech Working Group is again planning a technical workshop at the ICANN 69 meeting (Hamburg) on Monday 2020-10-19. As the meeting will be virtual vTechDay will be conducted as Zoom Webinar. The TechDay workshop has been a part of ICANN meetings since 2006 and has provided a forum for both experienced and new people to meet, present and discuss technical topics related to registry and DNS work and security. We are specially interested in: 1. DNSSEC, in particular within the European Region and with regards to SHA-1 Transition 2. RDAP implementations 3. Best security management practices, lines of defence, to protect the registry from bad actors, attacks or malware 4. In addition, we welcome suggestions for additional topics If you are interested in presenting, please email ccNSO-techday@icann.org or reply to this email. Hi, I find the homoglyph topic not only academically interesting but also at the fore of security risk and industry potential for problem solving, so IMO it would be good to unpack it a bit more. Would any colleagues be willing to join from perhaps Donuts who developed TrueName or UNR who I believe first included variants in their EPS block? Brian J.
