Dear Colleagues,
ICANN is pleased to announce that initial development was completed for 100% of the test cases in the Registry System Testing (RST) v2.0. These test cases are now available in the Operational Testing & Evaluation (OT&E) environment.
If you are interested in participating as a Registry Service Provider in the New gTLD Program: Next Round[1], you are encouraged to onboard into the OT&E environment for the new service to:
* Integrate into the new Registry System Testing API (RST-API) and, * Ensure the readiness of registry systems for production RST during the RSP Evaluation Program and Pre-Delegation Testing of TLDs during the New gTLD Program: Next Round.
In the future, RST v2.0 will replace version 1.0 of the RST System which traces back its origin to the original Pre-Delegation Testing system established for the 2012 round of the New gTLD Program. Processes such as the Material Subcontracting Arrangement (MSA) Change may require current gTLDs to go through RST. Current Registry Operators (ROs) and Registry Service Providers (RSPs) are invited to onboard into the OT&E in preparation for when RST v2.0 replaces RST v1.0. More information about the timeline of the RST 2.0 transition will be shared in the coming months, and it’s envisioned that ICANN org will provide a six-month advance notice before transitioning to RST 2.0 for current gTLDs.
During ICANN 82, ICANN org will host an interactive session on the Registry Service Provider (RSP) Evaluation Program[2] and Registry System Testing (RST) 2.0[3]. If interested, please join us at: https://icann82.sched.com/event/1vpd5/learn-about-evaluation-and-testing-for...
More information about the RST v2.0 service, including the process for requesting access to the OT&E, may be found on the new RST v2.0 page on the ICANN website:
