Subject: [ICANN-CSC] Stepping down

 

Hello CSC colleagues,

I have accepted a new position at Verisign. Because the CSC provides oversight of the PTI function including root zone updates, which Verisign performs, there is concern of conflict of interest; therefore I am withdrawing from the CSC membership reappointment process. I will still attend the September CSC meeting. Hopefully the RySG is able to find a suitable replacement by October 1 when my term is up.

I've greatly enjoyed working with all of you and am very proud of the fantastic committee we have created together.

See you in Montreal (I'll be cheering for you).
