On the mock-up with the tables removed, I’ve added just a text description of the SLAs’ status.  It lacks the intense detail, but gives a quicker understanding of where each SLA change/addition/removal is in the process.  Since it is just a few sentences, where once we had a table, I can see how easy it is to miss!

    Not sure I understand the purpose of the version where the tables have been removed, seems like we are just getting rid of useful information. I prefer the version where the tables are still present but are divided I think this is much easier to read.
