Dear all, Following the discussion from 15 April, please find included updated version of the Skill/Expertise matrix. As you may recall (see extract informal notes below) the secretariat was asked to send out an update of the requirements doc ( included). You are asked to look at the required skills expertise again and make additional suggestion if needed by 1 May 2019. The secretariat will then update the document in preparation of the next call ( Tuesday 16 May). Major changes are: The requirement Direct experience and knowledge of the IANA naming function, has been amended. It now reads: Knowledge AND/OR direct Operational expertise with the IANA naming function The following requirement has been added: Experience with and/or understanding of the relevant ICANN policy making processes. Some people do not have direct experience. James: The current requirement (including the word “and”) was targeted mostly at members but highly desirable for liaisons Understand CSC is expert based committee. Essential: knowledge of ICANN Policy as pertains to IANA related Naming Function Actual operational expertise. Currently and in past operational people. Broaden current pool of potential membership. Understanding how ICANN works is considered relevant, but also understanding how IANA works from different perspectives. Knowledge of naming function. Add technical expertise + ICANN experience. Direct knowledge or experience of the IANA naming function would work for both aspects. Topic for May meeting also in light of the upcoming membership selection process. Hi, Just one comment. The language in Paragraph 3 under "Introduction" seems redundant as it is already captured in paragraph 1. May be better to just delete paragraph 3. "*CSC develop an overview of the skills and expertise required on the CSC, and map the skills of current members and liaisons against the required skill set to inform the selection process of the appointing organisations*."
