Because Recommendation 4 requires an amendment to the IANA Naming Function Contract, the Bylaws require that the GNSO &  ccNSO Councils approve it.  This was actually  built into our workplan from the beginning, but after some internal discussions I’ve discovered we can seek their approval before the Public Comment completes (I had originally planned on handling this after the Public Comment).

 

So I have drafted a letter on your behalf and had Sam from Legal check it over.  If you are able to review it and provide any comments, I will  get it sent in time for the Councils to  add it to their February meeting agendas (by working with Bart and Steve on the Policy team to coordinate this).
