Thanks for this heads up. I have to admit I am a little disappointed at the lack of activity on this since Prague. In Prague it seemed like we were making tremendous progress on all of the issues and dare I say it, it appeared that we would be not only meeting
our expected timelines, but we would be exceeding it.
However, we are now more than a month removed from Prague and we have not only not met, but we have not seen any new materials. At a time when the entire community is criticizing PDPs and IRTs for taking so long to do its work, I was hoping that this could
have been an example where we exceeded expectations and showed that not all PDPs/IRTs would take years.
Can you please provide us with an updated schedule and work plan including all future dates for meetings and drafts to be produced? Remember, staff does not have to do all the work itself, but rather it can get the IRTs help.
At the end of the day, gTLD Registries have been waiting more than a decade (since 2014) to release the 2-letter acronyms which is now dependent on us completing our work in this IRT (and ICANN Org having a notification system for when IGO acronyms are registered).
And, ICANN Org initially promised the community that this would be resolved by the time the next round launched.
What is holding us up?
