Hello all,
Apologies as we intended to send an explanation before canceling with a bit more on the background work. We concur re: the positive progress during the Prague meetings and that has enabled us to work since then on drafting the updated language in the UDRP and URS. We were aiming to have that ready for you all to review in advance of the meeting next week, but did not believe the draft was quite there yet in context of the overall framework of the policy and rules. We are aiming to reschedule the call for early August. The overall timeline of the project has not changed.
Best regards,
Karen (on behalf of the team)

Brian,
With all due respect, if you read the 2016 update closely, you will see that the IGO acronyms such as .au, .ec, .eu, .ac, and .un are exempted from that because they are IGO Acronyms. So ICANN has not dealt with those.
And with respect to the other IGOs, the GAC Advice, though called a moratorium of registrations, is actually a misnomer. A moratorium of registrations pre-supposes that the registration of those acronyms were at one point allowed and are now stopped. This is in reality a moratorium on the implementation of the 2014 GNSO policy.
But regardless, as you stated, the main point is that we move forward.
ICANN Ord?
Sincerely,
