Info from the Region - SEE and Balkans

Further to my previous email re ICANN fellowship , this is to inform you ( as IPC members ) about the Regional Internet Forum ( RIF ) that was held in Belgrade on March 16th ( www.rif.rs )

Dusan Popovic was one of the crew ( of the heavy artillery of lawyers and presentations ) that we brought for the RIF !

The legal team was composed of prominent lawyers , some of them IPC members ( Dusan Popovic , David Taylor of Hogan Lovells LLP and me )   plus we had Mrs. Maja Bogataj Jancic of the Slovenian IP Institute - Ljubljana , Mrs. Albina Dlacic a Croatian lawyer and a patent attorney from Zagreb ,   Asst.Prof.Dr. Neda Zdraveva - Law on Obligations
Intellectual Property Law Ss. Cyril and Methodius University Iustinianus Primus Faculty of Law - Skopje Macedonia and Prof. Dr. George Dimitrov Partner of Dimitrov, Petrov & Co. law office in Sofia Bulgaria.

With the help from the organizers we have prepared the latest IPC broshure and spread the word - who we are , what we do ...etc . As a moderator of the legal session I asked David after his presentation , to say a few words and share with us his experience with the GNSO , IPC and ICANN.

The legal session was ranked in the first place on the survey made after the RIF !

I thank Dusan for his support during the RIF in Belgrade !
