NextGen@ICANN 项目成立的时间并不长，始于 ICANN 第 49 届新加坡会议。从这点来看，看到 ICANN 第 53 届会议 NextGen@ICANN 项目申请已开放，确实令人感到惊讶。第 53 届会议是在距离巴西不远的寒冷城市布宜诺斯艾利斯举行的。我在提交申请的时候并不清楚此项目对我有何要求，因为当时关于这个项目的可用信息并不是很多。我唯一清楚的一点就是，对于来自会议参与地区的年轻人来说，这是千载难逢的好机会。对于像我一样攻读互联网相关专业硕士学位者来说，这个申请理由已经足够充分。
