I also oppose deviating from policy (plural number of days) in the IRT. IRTs do not exist to relitigate policy discussions.

We should also remember that 2 business days is the maximum, but “undue delay” implies that most requests will be answered in much less time.

Dear Andrea, dear Dennis,

i support the change for 2 days because 24 hours with all time zone matters, and the difference between big and small internet industry don t give the same agility.

Please notice for the record my input

Dear Betty,

As you know, based on the Public Comment received, we changed the Response time from 2 business days to 24 hours.

For Urgent Requests for Lawful Disclosure, Registrar and Registry Operator MUST acknowledge and respond without undue delay, but no more than 24 hours two (2) business days from receipt.

We’ve been receiving IRT emails that objects to this change and asking to revert to the 2 business days.

Could you please write to irt.regdatapolicy@icann.org to provide your input?

So far, all inputs from IRT asks to revert back to 2 business days.

Also, please attend the ICANN77 session to voice your position as it’s important that the public hears from you as well.
