Dear IRT, Happy New Year! When I was thinking about you all, I looked up when we had our kick-off meeting and who were with me back then. 13 of you have journeyed with me from that faithful day on 2019 May 29. This is our 4th year together and 2023 is the year when we actually start the Implementation. We spent the last 3 years analyzing, discussion, and coming to agreements on the interpretation of the recommended language. Filling in all gaps in the recommendation to put together our draft Policy language - the implementation requirement With the public comment period closed, ICANN org is working on the PC Report to be published this month. The IRT meetings this year will be different. I can’t say how often we’ll meet but I expect less than before. We will need your review for any policy language changes including the 20 impacted policies and procedures. New this year will be the Implementation Planning. As I announced at the CP Summit, this policy is highly complex and interdependent. We all need to plan ahead; coordinate and collaborate on how and when we will update which part of our business operations. I expect we’ll need an IRT meeting sometime in February. In the meanwhile, please alert your team to prepare for implementation and reach out to your business partners for coordination. Reach out to me if you need in that coordination and share your implementation plans with me if you could. As for the ICANN76, we are planning for an IRT meeting. I expect that we’ll have much to talk about in how best we could implement RegData together. Andrea will be notifying you when the session schedule is finalized.
