I’m sorry to hear that you’re still having problems with the mailing list, I thought that had been fixed?

The election process is certainly in line with the ISPCP rules and it was  Mark’s request that he distanced himself from the election process once he’d been nominated. However I accept the issues you raise and will immediately contact Glen and request that she becomes the focal point for votes returned. Assuming that she is OK with this I’ll forward the votes returned so far.  As the input to date has been quite  limited that shouldn’t be a problem. I do not want to delay the process further as we also need to hold another election once this is complete to elect our representative to the CSG Exec. Any additional delay will only result in added difficulties.

Regards

Tony

Tony:

Due to the problems with the ISPCP mailing list I've received the call for election just 2 hours ago and therefore my reaction may be late.

I wonder whether the election process proposed by the ISPCP secretariat is fully in line with the ICANN rules (public, transparent, neutral...).

Since the secretariat himself who has been nominated as a candidate is a member of BT, the same company as you, it seems to be more appropriate - and could avoid critical questions from third parties - to provide a neutral E-Mail address where the members could send their votes. Maybe Glen as secretariat of the GNSO could assist here.

I would appreciate if you could accept my (and others') view on this issue.

Best regards
Wolf-Ulrich Knoben
