I received the
following email and offer of an update. I’m wondering if we want to take
advantage of this in Los Angeles or if we might like to try to get this as part
of our next conference call. Opinions?

My name is Laura
Mather and I am co-chair of the Domain Name System sub-committee of the
Anti-Phishing Working Group. This sub-committee has been working on
several initiatives that might be relevant to the ISP constituency,
including:
-
Registrar
anti-phishing best practices
-
Proposal for registry
phish site suspension
-
Data on domain
tasting by phishers
-
Best practices: What
to do if your site has been hacked
Several members of
the sub-committee will be attending ICANN in LA. If your constituency
would like an update on any of the above initiatives, we would be happy to make
sure that someone can attend your meeting to give this update.
The Anti-Phishing
Working Group understands that there are many complex issues being addressed by
ICANN. Our goal is to continue working with the various ICANN bodies to
ensure that as policies and procedures are developed, they take into account the
implications to the anti-phishing community as well as the Internet community as
a whole.
We look forward to
seeing you in LA.
-Laura
