In advance of an official notice, I wish to let you know that our competitive search to fill the Senior Policy Director position has been completed.   Mary Wong will be joining the policy team on 1 July 2013.   She will be working under the direction of Marika in support of the policy work of the GNSO Council and SG/C groups. 

 

As many of you know, Mary served as Professor of Law, Faculty Chair for Global Intellectual Property Partnerships and Chair of Graduate Intellectual Property Programs, University of New Hampshire School of Law.

She has been active within ICANN for many years  as elected representative to the GNSO Council  for the Non-Commercial Stakeholder Group (NCSG); active in various GNSO working groups and drafting teams; Chair of the NCSG Policy Council; and member of the 2009 Implementation Recommendations Team (IRT) at ICANN.
