just a quick note to highlight a comment-period opening up. 

 

there's a very substantial Preliminary Issue Report that needs reviewing.  i would think we'd want to offer a comment on this one.

 

just to replay where things stand

 

- this is a standard pre-PDP Issue Report, prepared by staff

 

- in parallel there's an Expert Working Group that's been chartered to take a look at Whois

 

- the Issue Report, the comments, and the results from the Expert group will be combined into a Final Issue Report that will (presumably) then feed into a PDP

 

so i would think we'd want to put a little group together to review this report and prepare a comment on it.  anybody interested in joining that group (besides me)?
