---------------------------------------------------------------- Internet Service Provider and Connectivity Provider Constituency Generic Names Supporting Organization -- ICANN ---------------------------------------------------------------- 2006 November 22 GNSO COUNCIL ELECTIONS In accordance with both the ICANN bylaws and the ISPCP bylaws, this is the official notice that the call for nominations has produced two nominations for two open seats on the GNSO Council. The nomination period closed on Sunday, 19 November 2006 at 2200 GMT The nominees are: Tony Harris of CABASE Greg Ruth of Verizon Each of the candidates has indicated that they are willing to serve in this capacity on behalf of the ISPCP. With two open positions and only two nominees a formal election is not required. As the constituency has done in prior elections, if the number of nominees is the same or fewer than the number of open positions, the Secretariat asks that the nominees be elected by acclamation. If you have a concern with the election of either of Tony or Greg as the ISPCP's representatives to the GNSO Council please follow-up with me by 2200 UTC, Saturday, 25 November 2006. A formal announcement will follow if no objections are raised. If you have questions relating to the election, the constituency Articles or the nomination process please contact the current Secretariat of the constituency: Mark McFadden at ispcp-activity@mcfaddencentral.com.
