Dear Laura,
allow me to concur with your opinion and thank you for forwarding these resources to our community (I was going to do the same.)
Colleagues, do note that the format of "Bytes" means that they are sent separately as well, so they are easy to share for best effect.
An exercise our community could undertake is to translate and distribute into the region's languages. Each ALS could designate a junior member to do a first pass and another, more senior one, for quality checks, not necessarily in the same organization. This type of involvmenent is more organic and collaborative and may do at least as much good as, if not more good than, the other organized but more top-down outreach and engagement activities, and, further, serve them.

Dear LACRALO members,
I am pleased to share with you some very useful information from our colleagues at APRALO. During the last ALAC call, they introduced a new initiative called APRALO Bytes, which provides concise updates on topics currently being discussed across our community, including:
DNS Abuse
Review of ICANN Reviews
New gTLDs and the Applicant Support Program (ASP)
You can access the latest edition here:
APRALO Bytes – August 6, 2025
I highly encourage you to read them, and, if possible, listen to the recordings as well. They are an excellent resource to deepen our understanding of these issues and will also make it easier to share this knowledge within our ALS communities.
Thank you!
Best regards,
Laura Margolis
