I like to contribute to the debate on the development of policies (Policies) in and LACRALO. mil gracias por este envío. Lo veo como una contribución importante a la comunidad y un fuerte llamado de atención para que decidamos regularmente, y con anticipación a las fechas límites, el trabajo sustantivo de LACRALO, que no es el trabajo acerca de nosotros mismos sino la contribución a la creación de políticas de ICANN.
Teníamos abierto un tema más, el de dominios sin punto. Por si fuera de utilidad el dato, este viernes ese punto se volvió obsoleto con una resolución del grupo de trabajo sobre nuevos gTLDs del Board de ICANN. Es una pena que no se haya concretado nuestra contribución cuando ya contábamos con elementos suficientes para hacerla.
Sigamos con otros de los temas muy relevantes que mencionas. Hay miembros de esta comunidad en el EWG del "nuevo whois" y los hay conectados con la GNSO. Esperemos que estén abiertos a la retroalimentación por parte de la comunidad y oigamos de ellos este lunes en la teleconferencia al tratar los puntos respectivos (bajo "temas de policy" cuando menos).
Debemos organizarnos en lo sucesivo con mayor claridad. Si la Presidencia y la Secretaría no van a organizar los debates y conducir a conclusiones a tiempo alguien más deberá subsanar este abandono de responsabilidades.

En semanas anteriores se han enviado a la lista de LACRALO temas que estaban abiertos a comentarios para que LACRALO decida si era oportuno hacer una declaración a nombre de nuestro RALO o no. Entre ellos, el nuevo whois, dominios sin punto, nombres geográficos, entre otros.
También personalmente he solicitado que se abriera una Wiki propia de LACRALO para que reuniéramos allí todos los comentarios referidos a políticas (policies), lo cual nos permitiría encontrar más fácilmente dichos temas y comentarios. Esta es la Wiki que Silvia Vivanco del Staff ha creado (gracias Silvia) https://community.icann.org/display/LACRALO/LACRALO+Policy+Issues Lamentablemente dicha Wiki todavía sigue vacía.
Sobre el tema de nuevos whois (Nuevo Modelo para la Próxima Generación de Servicios de Directorio de gTLDs) he creado una Wiki de LACRALO donde he recopilado todo el material existente y los comentarios que tuvimos sobre el tema en la lista de LACRALO. El plazo del EWG para recibir comentarios se extendió hasta el 6 de septiembre, por lo tanto, todavía estamos a tiempo para lograr una declaración propia de LACRALO, con todos los comentarios que ya se han recibido.
Es entendible que no todos tengamos interés en los mismos temas o nos encontremos capacitados para comentar determinados temas. Sin embargo, teniendo en cuenta que LACRALO tienen 42 ALS con un promedio de dos delegados por organización, tenemos un número importante de miembros, entre los cuales podríamos encontrar interesados en trabajar en determinado tema sometido a comentario, producir un borrador de declaración y someterlo a discusión de todo LACRALO.
Estos temas sustanciales son los que deberían, desde mi humilde punto de vista, motivarnos a hacer un poquito de esfuerzo para lograr algún resultado a nombre de nuestro RALO.
Debajo estoy copiando la lista de temas abiertos a comentario dentro de ICANN y de At-Large.
Los quiero invitar a que los revisen y analicen si podemos formar grupos para ocuparnos de algunos de esos temas. No es necesario que nos pronunciemos sobre todos estos asuntos.
¿Podríamos estar creando dos o tres grupos chicos, formados por dos o tres personas/ALS que puedan liderar declaraciones sobre algunos de estos temas? ¿Qué opinan?
