Complementando mi mail del 29/04/2025, sintetizo el requerimiento de apoyo a toda nuestra Región.

Se necesita realizar un relevamiento en nuestra Región, para determinar en que países es factible realizar el registro de dominios IDN y cuales son su normas al respecto.

Los caracteres bajo estudio son: EÑE - CEDILLA - TILDE

Hasta el relevamiento anterior, no se podía realizar dicho registro en los siguientes países:

PERU – SAN VICENTE Y GRANADINAS – PARAGUAY – PANAMA – NICARAGUA – MEXICO – JAMAICA – HAITI – GUYANA – ECUADOR – REPUBLICA DOMINICANA – COSTA RICA – BARBADOS

Los países que aceptan algunos de estos caracteres, pero no los tres:

URUGUAY – EL SALVADOR – CHILE – BRASIL – BOLIVIA

El resto de los países aceptan todos estos caracteres.

La insistencia que realizamos desde el WG IDN MUltilinguismo, es para que podamos colaborar con los usuarios finales en la tramitación de sus registros IDN. Además, determinar si hay otras necesidades al respecto, poder coordinar con quien emite la normativa respectiva.
