MAG for Internet Governance Forum
Congratulations to all, especially to Fatima, Carolina, Olga and Raul. MAG renewal this year saw the Caribbean representation reduced to our colleague from Antigua and Barbuda representing the OECS. So we understand that we can make our contributions at different levels; sign up to be a resource person, join a dynamic coalition, promote our own workshops and participating in workshops. I am prepared to participate at any level. What we know for certain is that we still need to build regional capacity to participate. -Carlton ============================== Carlton A Samuels Mobile: 876-818-1799 *Strategy, Planning, Governance, Assessment & Turnaround* =============================

Carlton, all. Have you met Angelique del Castillo? She is from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Suriname. A nice lady that was engaged with LACNIC since our meeting Paramaribo (LACNIC Caribbean in 2011). She also counts as Caribbean MAG Member right? Andres: I can't recall meeting her but you're quite right, we count Suriname as Caribbean. I stand corrected; the Caribbean is indeed at the same level and even more diversified. As it is, I'm in Suriname next week to facilitate a national consultative workshop. My focal point contact is located in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. I definitely will request a courtesy call on Madame del Castillo. Angelic (a Diplo Alumni) was also on the Diplo tour during the Regional IGF held in T&T in 2011. Andrés - you were on that Tour as well. And, yes ... she most certainly counts as Caribbean. /t On Tue, May 14, 2013 at 4:38 AM, Andrés Piazza <andrespiazza@gmail.com>wrote:
