Our next monthly conference call is Thursday 16 LACRALO June 2011. Unfortunately, people LACRALO (which usually attend the conference call and the staff of ICANN At-Large) who attended ICANN meeting in Singapore from 19 to 24 June 2011 targets Singapore. Since it is not feasible to have the conference call June 16 and in consultation with the president of LACRALO, I have recommended that the conference call LACRALO NOT be held on June 16 2011 and would tentatively rescheduled for Thursday, July 7, 2011.

Dear Antonio, The decision not to have a LACRALO conference call in Singapore was discussed at the last conference call. Because Singapore is +8 UTC and countries in Latin America and the Caribbean range from -3 UTC to -5 UTC. This means that any formal LACRALO meeting held during the regular ICANN schedule time of 8am to 5pm Singapore time would be 7pm to 4am from the previous day in Bogotá for example. Given such times, and that it would have been difficult to have translation at late evening hours in Singapore, it was decided not to have a formal conference call in Singapore.
