I have been struggling to follow the arguments on both sides in the recent upsurge of discussions on one or other subjects. It seems that as the posts become longer, our translation engine seems to become even more idiosyncratic. Longer posts tend to record more subtle variations in posture, which makes the translations that more important. And translations are ever more important for the archives.
