* Dear Fellow LACRALO *:
1) I want to share a particular issue that was happening in the last event that occurred LACNIC 15 to May 20 past and I think important for the region, among others.
* "We need to work on a regional statement of principles" * said Raul Echeberría, LACNIC CEO and head of the Internet Society. Raul Lacnic believed to be moving in a statement that includes "access to information, privacy, freedom of expression, human rights and neutrality "among other themes.
From Lacnic are beginning to work on a declaration of principles "REGIONAL", so that would involve all users Internet. I think we should start looking at this type of initiative and not stand apart from the discussions.
We have an initiative in the region driven by the Managing Committee Brazilian Internet "cgi.br" of Brazil, which issued a statement enunciating principles of governance and Internet law. They are http://www.cgi.br/regulamentacao/resolucao2009-003.htm three languages available for download.
It is no coincidence that they start to find "guiding principles" to issues that so far no framework, which allows sustainable development policy issues.
While I am realistic that this issue is currently discussed by ICANN (No Policy), I think lacralo not be on the sidelines.
This news and the presence of Andres Piazza in the body, I think it a signal to start work in the region or at least to start internally discussing the issue from different points of view (Each ALS - InReach).
2) Recalling also that on June 8 is the day next world IPv6 (IPv6 World Day * <http://lacnic.net/sp/www.worldipv6day.org> ) And * for that day the leading content providers like Google, Facebook and Yahoo! among others allow their sites to be accessed natively using IPv6 * *.
3) It spoke, too, many important questions about the RNO IPv6 http://www.nro.net/ and I will be commenting in future emails.
Greetings
