Les estoy escribiendo desde Dublín donde se está desarrollando -ya finalizando- la 54° reunión de ICANN.

Estamos teniendo la última reunión de ALAC donde se han tomado decisiones sobre algunos temas importantes, entre ellos:

Esta es mi última reunión a la que estoy participando como miembro de ALAC en representación de LACRALO.

Quisiera aprovechar esta oportunidad para agradecerles al Staff por su apoyo y paciencia durante estos años, a los intérpretes –especialmente Sabrina, Verónica y David con quienes más he interactuado en este tiempo- y a los colegas de nuestro RALO que han trabajado activamente durante estos años, apoyándome en mi rol y apoyando a los demás colegas que realizan estas actividades en representación de todas nuestras ALS.

Además quisiera solicitarles su apoyo para nuestro nuevo representante en ALAC, Harold Arcos, quien es un representante nuevo en nuestra comunidad y va a necesitar el apoyo, el mentoreo y la colaboración de todos nosotros. Por favor, no lo dejen solo. Esto es un trabajo en equipo que necesita de nuestra colaboración, participación e involucramiento.

Muchos de nosotros estaremos de acuerdo en que necesitamos seguir trabajando en nuestro RALO para resolver muchos asuntos pendientes, para mejorar nuestra institucionalidad, para superar varias situaciones internas y poder fortalecernos tanto hacia adentro como hacia afuera.

Los invito a todos a que hagamos un esfuerzo para trabajar en conjunto y superar todos estos inconvenientes que no nos permiten madurar como RALO y enfocarnos en los asuntos realmente importantes. Yo me comprometo a trabajar con todos ustedes para estos fines, ahora desde mi rol de representante de la ALS de la que formo parte.

Miremos hacia el futuro, intentemos dejar de lado las cuestiones personales que puedan afectarnos –y que le han hecho mucho daño a nuestro RALO-, y sigamos trabajando para que LACRALO sea un RALO del que todos nos sintamos orgullosos de formar parte.

Ha sido un placer y un aprendizaje constante haber servido como representante de LACRALO en ALAC. Muchas gracias por haberme permitido dicha oportunidad.
