Alberto Soto - junto con Humberto Carrillo - ha sostenido con racionalidad, voluntad de servicio, actividad desinteresada y buen juicio los asuntos de LACRALO.
Ha logrado hacerlo a pesar de un nivel inusitado de desafíos, agresiones, descalificaciones e insultos - a veces abiertos, a veces velados o comprensibles sólo en el contexto - sin perder la cabeza, sin recurrir a su vez a descalificaciones y ofensas, con una tolerancia y un apego a la civilidad más allá de lo esperable.
En algunos momentos se ha criticado su interpretación de las reglas. Quienes se dicen autores y casi dueños de estas reglas han admitido posteriormente que estas reglas tienen graves deficiencias sin desfacer el entuerto. Si hubiera alguna debilidad en las interpretaciones que hicieron Alberto y Humberto ésta ha sido un mal menor ante la situación que estaban sobrellevando.
Por añadidura, Alberto ha mantenido una defensa de LACRALO ante las críticas y cuestionamientos de otros externos a la organización, dando muestra de lealtad al colectivo que en pocos otros hemos visto.
APARTE: para esta elección debemos aprender de las anteriores y asegurar que haya un debate abierto pero civil, con tiempos y niveles de participación que permitan que sea de calidad. Los procedimientos deberán ser cuidados atenta y no sólo minuciosamente.
