Dear Region,

The LACRALO Group on Governance met to reach a proposal on the Regional Rotation for the Electoral Process to begin with the upcoming 2019 Regional Elections. Therefore, we are opening the proposal agreed to by the LACRALO Group on Governance. 

Here is the proposal for this process:

The positions to choose and the correspondent subregions are:

Chair - MERCOSUR (SUBREGION D)
Chair-Elect - CENTRAL AMERICA (SUBREGION A)
Secretary - ANDES (SUBREGION B)
Secretary-Elect - CARIBBEAN (SUBREGION C)
ALAC Member - MERCOSUR (SUBREGION D) [Argentina Excluded]
Member of the NomCom - CARIBBEAN (SUBREGION C)

In cases where there is only one candidate, in any position, the candidate will be considered elected by acclamation and without further need for a vote.

The vote will be open from Wednesday, 12 June 2019 16:00 UTC until Monday, 17 June 2019 23:59 UTC.

The LACRALO ALS Electorate has been asked the following question:

Do you agree to approve the Proposal of the LACRALO Group on Governance?

• No
• Abstain

We are proceeding according to articles 12, 17, 19 and all other relevant articles of the Rules of Procedure.

El Grupo de trabajo de LACRALO sobre Gobernanza se reunió para llegar a una propuesta sobre la Rotación Regional para el Proceso Electoral que empezará con las próximas elecciones regionales de 2019. Por lo tanto, estamos abriendo la propuesta acordada por el Grupo de trabajo de LACRALO de Gobernanza. 

A continuación presentamos la propuesta para este proceso:

Miembro del NomCom - CARIBE (SUBREGIÓN C)

En los casos en que haya un único candidato, en cualquier puesto, se considerará el candidato elegido por aclamación y sin más necesidad de una votación.

La votación estará abierta desde el miércoles 12 de junio de 2019 16:00 UTC hasta el lunes 17 de junio de 2019 23:59 UTC.
