We received an email from Ariel Lang requiring that LACRALO must decide on the replacement electorate of Leon Sanchez no later than the start of the final election on 21 Feb.

In summary from Ariel's email

*LACRALO & NARALO: Since Alan Greenberg and Leon Sanchez are ALAC Members, both NARALO and LACRALO must name a replacement for the purpose of the final election. This replacement must be approved by a formal vote of LACRALO and NARALO according to its rules. This internal vote can be conducted as soon as possible from now.*

Action

We need to nominate a replacement electorate (who are not LACRALO ALAC Members or the LACRALO Chair), then we will use this rule from our RoP to find this replacement:

"12.8 The Assembly shall endeavour, when discussing any non-procedural question, to decide issues before it by general agreement. Voting shall be relied upon only to the extent that is necessary in cases where general agreement cannot be reached. Where a vote on a non-procedural question shall be required, the measure shall be carried if it receives a two-thirds vote of those ALSes present and voting."

In short, we need your suggestion for the replacement voter. If there is no general agreement (consensus) before the 10th of Feb. 2017, we will open a voting process which will take place from the 13th to the 17th of Feb. 2017.

Next Steps

From today, until the 10th of Feb. 2017 you can propose names for the replacer voter. If there is consensus about one person, we do not need to have voting process.
