They are used as variants in e.g. English. In many fonts they are also quite close in rendering if the distance is disregarded.
c) Does the acute accent move to next character? I have not seen any examples of that.
d) Does the tilde move to the next character? I have not seen any examples of that.
e) Rendering of ɗ LATIN SMALL LETTER D WITH HOOK vs. ď LATIN SMALL LETTER D WITH CARON
They are kept distinct.
