As the closing date of the call for topics came to an end on January 18th, we are glad to announce that the Universal Acceptance topic got the highest support. (Please see the detail of the proposed topics with their proposers and supporters at the end of this email.)

So the topic of the ICANN 64 ME Space in Kobe will be Universal Acceptance (UA)

Moving to the next step, we are here making a call for volunteers to form the drafting team. Please express your interest to join the drafting team before 31 January at 23:59.

We would encourage all those who proposed and/or supported the this topic as well as the whole MEAC community members to reply to this email expressing their interest in joining the drafting team.

As a MEAC Space Leading Team we will be happy to support the drafting team and contribute each time it is necessary.

For scheduling your time, below we copied the timeline and steps to follow to be ready for the final draft.

21 - 31 January          Call for volunteers for the drafting team

        04 February        Announcement of the drafting team composition

05 - 13 February         Drafting of the statement (1^st draft).

        13 February        Publishing of the 1^st draft for comments

14 - 21 February         Comment period for the 1st draft of the statement

22 - 28 February         Drafting of the final version

        01 March            Final draft published
