Thank you for being member of UAE chapter, I have received many emails asking about the chapter activities
I just want to clarify that we are the only accredited ISOC chapter in UAE and we are working on forming process to be legal entity
Our chapter was started in 2007 under the name of Emirates internet group and due lack of participation we stopped our activities in 2009 at the same time a small number of members are still working with ISOC, we have faced many challenges to make our group as a legal entity but we didn't give up, Finally had a chance to register our chapter officially in the Dubai Association Center that's why I'm sending this email to our members to participate and calibrate to achieve ISOC goals
Personally I have attended many conferences within our field the last conference was MENOG in Muscat last April and I have found that we have great opportunity to serve the community UAE
