my comments
1- i believe that any effort UA does will be useful. However, in my opinion, Google will only respect market forces rather than what is
right for the world. I could be wrong.
Once the world uses IDN , Google will join in.
Once google realises that they are losing market share due to the other search engines respecting IDN more than they do , they will join in.
2- another important thing that will help IDN : Appraisals.
we need to establish an entity to do appraisals for IDN domain.
I had a chinese domain and wanted to appraise it for a cient.
The top experts in the US looked at my request with sarcasm.
and the chinese top guys I know had no clue!
this is important
my question remains, we need exact info on how Bauidu , naver and Yandex treat IDN today
and what is the difference in the way they treat IDN.com and IDN.IDN

Hello Wael,
Universal Acceptance is the concept that all domain names should be treated equally. Domain names and e-mail addresses should be Accepted, Stored, Processed and Displayed in a consistent and effective manner.
You may see www.uasg.tech for details. I was only referring to aproach of UA for having equal treatment to all domain names.
Obviously, you will agree that no one would like to buy a domain name with limitations. Offcourse Google issue is to be deal seprately, first we should agree what we want from them.

the main thing is international search engines that are powerful in asia. if they start treating IDN more favourably . I think they do now
but not sure - Google wil be forced to do the same as companies with IDN would move away from Google.

Wael, Should there any different treatment for IDN or any other TLD. I believe Universal Acceptance approch must be followed and treat them accordingly in search engines too.

Search engines (Google at least) doesn`t care about the domain or TLD when it comes to page ranks because it looks to other factors such as back links that improves Page Ranks which improves listing.
Yet it`s unfortunate we don`t see any Arabic IDN ranked well but if you Google ".شبكة" you will find اسماء.شبكة
https://xn--ggbla1c4e.xn--ngbc5azd/ indexed successfully and ranked among the first few results.
