Dear Middle-East ICANN community,

Greetings to all,

As, I'm trying to catch-up with the MEAC volunteers community efforts and was so happy to see the interest from the community members in the Co-chairs role. I tried to see the statements that has been products by the community on the ICANNWIKI.ORG unfortunately, I couldn’t see any updates since 2021.

It would be greatly appreciated to keep records of all the MEAC statements in order to bring attention and give credits to all active community members and contributers.

I would like to suggest an update the MEAC SPACE charter under the last Co-chairs responsibilities:

Co-Chairs

The ME Space selects among its members Co-Chairs according to its decision-making methodology included in this charter. The Co-Chairs will be composed of two members, with experience in ICANN policy and process activities for 2 years’ term. Each member of the Co-Chairs can be reselected for a new term of 2 years.

The Co-Chairs shall:

Establish a draft work plan and associated schedule for each ICANN Meeting.

Call for topics.

Announce the selected topic based on the most demanded amongst all the proposed topics.

Call for the drafting team members.

Announce the composition of the drafting team.

Establish the agenda for the ME Space face-to-face session and send invitation to the guests.

Preside over the Space deliberations (online and face to face) and ensure that the process is bottom-up, consensus-based.

Send the approved statement to the ICANN Board and all concerned parties.

Upload the statement along with any responses on the https://icannwiki.org/ICANN_ME_SPACE
