Dear Friends, colleagues, and members of ME Space,
I am deeply honored and grateful for the nomination and the trust placed in me to continue contributing to the ME Space. Being nominated by others is profoundly meaningful, as it reflects the confidence and recognition of the value of teamwork and dedication to our shared goals. I am pleased to formally accept this nomination and look forward to continuing our collective efforts, I hope to earn your trust to continue as co-chair.

As a committed member of the ICANN community, my Statement of Interest (SOI) is already available on ICANN’s page, @ https://community.icann.org/display/atlarge/Amine+Hacha+SOI

Reflections on the Past Two Years
Serving as Co-Chair of the Middle East Space over the past two years has been a transformative experience.
> Taking on this responsibility after Tijani, whose expertise and contributions have been a cornerstone for our region, was both a challenge and a privilege.
> Together with Layal, my Co-Chair, we prioritized teamwork and diversity in selecting topics and approaches, ensuring inclusivity and relevance. While some external challenges arose, we focused on solutions, often addressing issues internally to maintain a positive and collaborative environment in the ME Space.
> Collaborating with ICANN staff in the Middle East office proved instrumental in achieving impactful outcomes.
> and more.
The results were evident in the remarkable success and high attendance of our recent Middle East Space session during ICANN81 in Istanbul.
Those achievements demonstrated the growing interest and engagement of our community and reinforced the global importance of the ME Space.

Vision and Plans for the Future
Looking ahead, I hope to earn your trust to continue as co-chair. I want you to know that my commitment is to build upon the foundation laid during the past two years. My key focus areas include:
> Teamwork and Inclusivity: Ensuring the ME Space remains a platform where all voices are heard. Listening and engaging a diverse range of participants is essential for fostering meaningful contributions from the Middle East community.
> Sustained Growth: Maintaining and exceeding the level of engagement and participation we’ve achieved, safeguarding the ME Space as a critical forum for our region within ICANN.
> Strategic Planning: Organizing a working session (online) in the first months of 2025 to review the ME Space's progress, collaboratively strategize future goals, and explore ways to enhance our regional contributions to ICANN. Also, by working on organizing an ME Space session during ICANN82, and future meetings.
> Capacity Building: Creating opportunities for ME members to share their experiences, successes, and lessons from their countries or regions. This exchange will strengthen our collective knowledge and bolster the ME Space as a hub for collaboration and innovation.
> Global Representation: Continuing to deliver a positive image of the Middle East Space to the global community through ICANN meetings and forums.

Thank you Amin for opening the application window for the leadership of the ME Space in respect of the charter.

I do second the wish of Wafa to see both or at least one of the current leaders to express their availability for a new term for continuity. In any case, they will need to be joined by 1 or 2 new persons to form the new ME Space leadership team.

For the record, this position doesn’t have travel support. It will require time commitment and energy for the success of the space.

Dear Omar,

Thank you for this informative information and wasn't aware that  the actual leading team can be reselected (it's my fault i should have asked)

Knowing that and following their previous engagement the actual team leader I encourage them to apply again for the position

Best

Wafa
