Hello Tijani,
Thank you for your prompt feedback and for raising an important concern regarding the session’s format and effectiveness.
We understand the challenge of covering multiple topics within a 60 to 90-minute session. However, we believe that addressing a variety of topics can provide a broader overview of the key issues and stimulate more comprehensive discussions. Here’s how we plan to ensure the session remains effective:
1. Focused Segments: Each topic will be allocated a specific time slot, ensuring focused and concise presentations. This will prevent any single topic from dominating the entire session.
2. Pre-Session Preparation: We will encourage participants to review materials and provide input beforehand. This will help streamline the discussion and make it more productive.
3. Moderator Guidance: A skilled moderator will guide the session to ensure that each topic receives adequate attention and that discussions stay on track.
4. Interactive Elements: Incorporating Q&A sessions and interactive polls can help engage the audience and gather a wide range of insights efficiently.
5. Follow-Ups: We plan to have follow-up sessions or working group meetings to delve deeper into any topic that requires more extensive discussion.
We believe this approach will allow us to cover more ground and gather a diverse range of perspectives, which is crucial for our regional interests.
We appreciate your expertise and hope you can support this structure. Your guidance will be invaluable in making the session a success.
Best regards,
Layal and Amin
Amin,
A session of 60 min (90 min max) wouldn’t be enough to debate seriously more than one topic. If you decide to address “various” topics in one session, I’m afraid it won’t be effective and the result won’t be the best.

Hello everyone,
Thank you, Tijani, for suggesting the topic “The New gTLD Program, Especially the Applicant Support Part of it”. we’ve received positive responses from several individuals willing to assist with the statement. We would appreciate it if you could handle this part.
Fouad, your suggestions are good. We propose working on the second session to draft a statement for our future efforts in this area. We will await further input from those ready to contribute.
Hadia, we appreciate your topic name suggestions. The final nomination will be decided by the working group during the drafting process.
Houda, could you please clarify if by “multilingual internet,” do you mean Universal Acceptance?
To allow more time for responses and suggestions, we propose extending the deadline to Wednesday, July 31, 2024. As stated in our initial email, we aim to cover various topics of interest to our region during the session in Istanbul.
We look forward to your continued contributions in the coming days.
Best regards,
Amin and Layal
