I apologies and behalf of myself and many  members of the community for missing the deadline for your nomination. The Middle East Space is indeed very important, like you mention this is a venue for the community to discuss and debate policy issues. You and Nadira have been doing a great job and it does make sense that you continue your effort on this. I think

I would like to thank all of those who wrote on the list and those who contacted me privately expressing their consiuderation of the work Nadira and myself did for the ME Space. We are proud of your kind words.

The ME Space is one of the most important community initiatives because it is addressing ICANN policy topics and providing consensus position of the ICANN ME Community thereupon. This means that the ME region is contributing in the policy debate and has its own position that it expresses loudly.

I hope that the ME Community understands the importance of the space in giving the region and its community visibility and credibility.
