Dear Omar,

Hope all is well.

Unfortunately, I won't be able to be in Tripoli, but I'll be happy to participate / speak remotely, if possible.

In your email invite, you said:

It is our pleasure to invite you to attend our events and speak in the Forum on Friday 18 May about  "Role of ICANN in promoting DNS activities".

18 May is Thursday, not Friday. Could you confirm the date / time of the session, and whether speaking remotely is an option.

Thank you!

Best

Dear Omar,

Thank you for the invitation.

I've run this internally to get the necessary approvals.

I was asked to provide more information about the location / venue of the meeting. Can you provide this?

Dear Baher,

Hope this email finds you well

Since 2017, the North African Internet Governance Forum (NAIGF) organizes yearly its annual

Forum back-to-back with the North African School on Internet Governance (NASIG).

This year, we will hold three events in Tripoli (Libya) From 15 to 21 May 2023 (15-17: School, 18: Libyan IGF, 19-21: Forum)

It is our pleasure to invite you to attend our events and speak in the Forum on Friday 18 May about  "Role of ICANN in promoting DNS activities".

To be more interactive, the Forum sessions will take the form of a panel and not slides and presentations where the moderator will ask the panelists questions in one or more rounds and then open the floor for the attendees.

We believe that your unique perspective and experiences would help our attendees gain valuable insights and knowledge in this area.

As a speaker, you would have the opportunity to share your ideas with a diverse audience of professionals, academics, and industry leaders. Your slot would be scheduled for 20 Min, and you would have ample time to engage with attendees and answer questions.

We would cover your travel and accommodation expenses.

We understand that you are a busy professional, and we would be happy to work with you to accommodate your schedule and preferences. If you are interested in speaking at our Forum, please let us know as soon as possible so that we can move forward with the necessary arrangements.

Thank you for considering our invitation. We look forward to hearing back from you soon.

Sincerely,

Omar Shuran

Chairman
