Dear NARALO Leadership,

On behalf of Daniel Nanghaka, Chair of the ALAC Sub-committee on Outreach and Engagement (OE-SC), this is a call for the OE-SC

Regional liaisons for 2021. 

The OE-SC develops strategy to:

• Reach out to potential members of the At-Large Community (Outreach), and
• Engage new and existing members of the At-Large Community (Engagement)

The Regional liaisons have the following responsibilities:

Outreach and Engagement

• Collaboratively develop and implement a comprehensive strategic plan to grow and deepen ICANN At-Large’s relationship with our current members and partner organizations and identify areas for collaboration.

•  Lead efforts to expand the membership of ICANN At-Large among the community and domain-based organizations, build members identify, and increase the positioning of ICANN At-Large among the domain services sector.

•  Develop a plan to better involve and incorporate feedback from members directly impacted by ICANN At-Large programs and advocacy campaigns in the design and implementation of ICANN Strategy and O&E strategy.

•   Support efforts of the Policy team to identify new and emerging policy trends, align advocacy priorities with member needs, and better engage members and allies in our policy advocacy work.

•  Supports the Capacity-building team to develop programming that meets the needs of members, encourages expanded understanding of ICANN Policy issue areas, and supports our policy priorities.

Outcome-Based Action & Knowledge Management 

•   Collaborate with Capacity Building and Policy teams in the evaluation and improvement of engagement, including the development of webinars and around hot topics/issues at hand within the ICANN eco-system.  

•   Continually evaluate operation of team/function to ensure on-going effectiveness and impact of ICANN At-Large’s outreach and engagement efforts 

• Ensure development and implementation of a clear strategy on development, production and dissemination of program materials which may enhance knowledge, understanding, and impact of ICANN At-Large’s work 

Leadership and Management 

•   Build and lead high-impact regional O&E team; define objectives and processes for your respective region

•   Collaborate closely with the Capacity Building and Policy leadership teams to ensure the alignment of work across teams including the social media teamand regional leaders 

•  Liaise closely with the ICANN At-Large’s leadership team to ensure strategic use of media to enable and facilitate ICANN At-Large’s positioning across its core areas, the appropriate use of ICANN At-Large’s resources, and strategic collaboration
