The Digital Equity Act of 2019 will be announced April 11 in Senate and end of April or beginning of May in the House. 

NDIA is hosting a webinar on what passage of the Digital Equity Act would mean to NDIA Affiliates and what NDIA Affiliates can do as 501(c)3 organizations to educate policymakers and raise awareness with partners.

The Digital Equity Act aims to address technology access and use gaps by promoting a diverse array of digital equity projects at the state and local level. These projects may range from providing digital literacy and digital skills education to low-income populations, improving the online accessibility of social services for individuals with disabilities, or more accurately mapping broadband access and adoption in rural communities.
