Since I was chairing the meeting I too have not had an opportunity to provide constructive comments

HI John,

As said yesterday.  It should be an alternate. In fact, At large is now requiring both a primary and a secondary alternative for each ALS.  In some cases they are even asking for two alternates. Please modify the document to include this

Best,

Judith

Good point. The question is whether it should be a proxy or an alternative, or both.

I've noticed that 3.2 of the proposed ROP requires each ALS to select
one "voting representative".

There does not seem to be any allowance for a designated proxy in cases
where the voting representative is temporarily unable to act for any
reason.

In my own case, for example, I am not able to attend the upcoming
General Assembly and my ALS has designated another representative.
