On December 13, 2021, @ 20:00, Sarah Wyld, from Tucows.com; Daniel Nanghaka, from At-Large; and Dr. James Galvin, from Donuts.com, will discuss in a panel format the "PDP Transfer Policy Review." Glenn McKnight, NARALO Secretary, will be moderating the dialogue. Join us!
Synopsis: "The Transfer Policy (TP), formerly known as the Inter-Registrar Transfer Policy (IRTP), is an ICANN consensus policy that governs the procedure and requirements for registrants to transfer their domain names from one registrar to another.
A PDP working group has been commissioned to determine if policy changes are needed to improve inter-registrar and inter-registrant transfers' ease, security, and efficiency.
The moderator will put in context the story behind the review of the Transfer Policy and lead the discussion to gain the panelist's perspective on how effective it has been over these years. What was the motivation behind its creation, and now, its revision? What is the status of the PDP? What are the most controversial issues during the current evaluation, and why? Why is the TP review essential for the end-user? Etc."
