Final Steps in the ICANN NOMCOM PROCESS

During the last few months the NOMCOM team completed our assignments which is team interviews of the short listed candidates.

We are now in a seven day( full day) process of additional interviews and selecting the final slate for voting

Here is the situation

• List of nine candidates for the Board (three positions)- All interviewed in one hour virtual interviews

• Four candidates for the GNSO Council (two positions),

• Five candidates for ALAC (three positions)

• Two candidates for the CNSO Council (one position).

New innovations this year

• All the SO/ACs were given the option of written answers or a provide a short video message

Next Step

The slate and alternates will be provided, a final decision there will be a due diligence process.  The public announcement of the final result will be in August.
