This is just the nominations process it is not the elections. That will be held in a few months.  You could wait and see who gets nominated or you can indicated your interests today. Perhaps later on another person will decide to run for one of the positions that you like more. It does not mean that you are wedded to this nomination or to the person who you nominated.  We will have a meet the candidates forum later on after the nominations are finished so everyone can get a chance to chat with and ask questions to the nominees.  We encourage others to run if they would like to run.  It is an open process.

I thank all of you for your support this year and hope to continue the work we have done this year for next year which starts in October 2016. It is rushed since the new slate of officers will be at the ICANN 57 along with the current slate.  If there are new people Constituent travel needs to have time to purchase travel for them to come to the meeting wherever it is held. They do this several months in advance. Hope that answers your questions.

ALAC  Representative,  Currently held  by Alan Greenberg who won a special election to finish out the ALAC term held by Glenn McKnight, who resigned to be Chair of NARALO.  Current term ends at the end of the 2016 AGM. The new term starts immediately after the end of the current term and continues until the end of the 2018 AGM.  This is  a new two year term and this position is not term limited. Alan is eligible for re-election.

NARALO  NomCom Delegate: The current NA delegate to the 2016 NomCom is Eduardo Diaz. According to NomCom rules, a delegate may serve up to two consecutive terms. Eduardo has served one term and is eligible to serve another term.
