We had a meeting to sketch some things out with people from many regions, while in PR.

The consensus is that to do it well, we need sufficient planning.

We have tentative agreement that we would formulate a collective request that this occur at the meeting in Europe in 2008.

understanding is that (at least recently) ICANN has been loathe to
have meetings in the US because it's very hard for people to get
visas to attend. There may be another upcoming venue that is easier
(and possibly cheaper.) Can anyone confirm this or suggest a way to
find out?
