At ICANN79
there was robust discussion during and after ICANN79 regarding travel support. Currently, for each ICANN Public Meeting there are 2 travel slots allocated to each RALO, in addition to the 3 slots allocated to ALAC members. The ALAC’s recent proposed changes
to this travel allocation were met with hesitation across all regions due to what was perceived as top-down decision making.
The Listening Sessions are intended to allow the ALAC to understand regional and individual perspectives better and fully on this topic to have meaningful discussions moving forward.
The ALAC looks forward to hearing from the members of NARALO.

Please forgive my ignorance, but what is a "listening session"?
I'm unfamiliar with this kind of meeting. I assume it is something less than a discussion because "listening" suggests that the communication is one-way only.
Is it more than a stating of the current policy and then a collection of complaints about it?
