Re: NA-Discuss Digest, Vol 222, Issue 18
Second to Adrian Schmidt' nomination Hello All, I’m pleased to support Adrian Schmidt’s self-nomination to the Nominating Committee (NomCom). This role demands a deep understanding of ICANN’s ecosystem and a strong sense of responsibility, as NomCom members are tasked with selecting the right individuals for key leadership positions — including Board members — through a rigorous and multi-layered process. Adrian’s experience and maturity make him well-suited for this responsibility. I believe he will bring the fairness, and dedication that this critical role requires. Dear all,
I’m happy to add my voice in support of Jonathan’s nomination for another term as the NARALO representative to ALAC.
During my participation at ICANN82 in Seattle, I had the opportunity to witness Jonathan's leadership firsthand. He was not only highly effective in managing sessions but also brought a great sense of humor and energy to the meetings—which made the experience even more engaging.
On a lighter note, I still remember Jonathan’s “dance move” moment during one of the sessions—it definitely left a memorable impression! I sincerely hope we’ll see more of those moves in future ICANN meetings. Wouldn’t want to miss that! 😊
Wishing you the very best for the upcoming term, Jonathan.
Warm regards,
Mohibul

I am pleased to nominate Dana Cramer for the NARALO NomCom position. Dana and I served as ISOC youth ambassadors together and she has been very involved in both the ICANN community and the broader internet governance ecosystem. Dana is a PhD Candidate in Toronto researching fluctuations in multistakeholder Internet governance and geopolitics. She also leads Youth IGF Canada, a national non-profit that works closely with youth all over Canada including rural, remote, and Indigenous stakeholders. Dana was also a NexGen, ICANN81 Fellow, and will be an ICANN83 fellow in June. She will also be part of the Government of Canada's official delegation to WSIS+20 in July, among many other accomplishments!
The skills around PhD research and the NomCom position are closely aligned, making Dana a great fit for this position. The need to be objective, confidential, and evaluate information in a holistic and comprehensive manner is well evidenced in Dana's past work and training.
Best, Kathleen

Dear NARALO Community,
After serving as your NARALO Secretariat for the past two years, I'm now seeking your support for the role of NARALO ALAC Delegate to the Nominating Committee (NomCom).
As your Secretariat, I've ensured North American voices are heard within ICANN, built essential relationships across ICANN, and gained a deep understanding of how ICANN works. Why I'm Running for NomCom
The NomCom selects people for key ICANN leadership positions. I am an excellent candidate for this role because, as Secretariat, I have seen what makes a good ICANN leader, and have made connections that allow me to identify strong candidates who truly care about Internet users. I’m committed to promoting diverse representation in leadership and finding candidates who truly understand our community’s needs.
After two years as Secretariat, serving as your NomCom Delegate is a natural next step. My experience will allow me to select leaders who support the interests of Internet users. Thank you for your confidence and support as your next NonCom Delegate. I am grateful for this opportunity to serve our community in a new capacity.
